It’s been eight years since the famous Odell Beckham Jr. catch on Sunday Night Football. The catch is still one of the most well-known plays in NFL history and really announced Beckham’s superstardom on a national stage.

Pittsburgh Steelers’ rookie George Pickens may have just had his Odell Beckham moment with one of the great catches you will ever see.

George Pickens makes an unbelievable one-handed catch

Facing a 2nd and 3 from their own 46 late in the first quarter, Steelers’ quarterback Mitch Trubisky looked the way of Pickens. What happened next will be one of the defining images of the NFL season.

This is the correct immediate reaction. I’m not sure it will hold up over the rest of the season, but right now it is absolutely the catch of the year.

Pickens is a huge receiver out of Georgia that battled injuries. But, his physical talents showed through and his frame makes him an attractive target in any passing game. He tells people he is open 99% of the time, and I guess he is right.

This is not the first time that Pickens has made an unreal catch. But, he’s never done it on a stage like Thursday Night Football.

If you’re from the Pittsburgh area, you know the internet sensation Pittsburgh dad. His hilarious takes on life in Yinzer territory are the stuff of legends.

I’m sure we will see this play for the rest of his career.
