Wondering what some of your sports trading cards are worth? Instead of going down a rabbit hole online, you might want to submit your sports memorabilia to a new grading service that recently launched called Certified Sports Guaranty (CSG).
Steven R. Eichenbaum, CEO of CSG, discussed enthusiasm for the recent launch, and described the precision, expert, impartial and efficient third-party authentication the company is focused on bringing collectors.

So what makes this particular sports trading cards authenticator different than some of the rest available? According to Certified Sports Guaranty’s Grading Finalizer Andy Broome, the company’s authentication and grading is assisted by artificial intelligence, which automates the process for faster results. Additionally, CSG uses other advanced technologies like forensic devices to help reveal alterations and hidden details. These include things like infrared and UV lighting, ultra-microscopic inspections and non-destructive ink and paper analysis.

Certified Sports Guaranty will initially grade standard-sized sports trading cards, as well as cards sized up to large, vintage Topps. Beginning in April of this year, CSG will accept cards that are up to 7.25 mm thick.
To submit to CSG, you must be a member — which costs $25/year.
