In August of 2021, Baltimore Ravens running back JK Dobbins tore his ACL during practice and missed the entire 2021 campaign. Since then, he has been working tirelessly to return to the field in hopes of being ready for Week 1.
However, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that Dobbins’ Week 1 return might not happen after all.
From NFL Now: #Ravens RB JK Dobbins is no sure thing for Week 1. He hasn’t had any setbacks. But his knee injury was a serious one, and Baltimore has no incentive to rush him back. They protected themselves with veteran Mike Davis, regardless. pic.twitter.com/j5xi6dYabU

If Dobbins misses Week 1, that would be a concern for the Ravens, especially with the extra pressure on quarterback Lamar Jackson as he tries for a new contract.
However, Rapoport’s latest nugget didn’t last very long, and JK Dobbins called him out on Twitter.
Okay I’m tired of being quiet… come to me for your source @RapSheet because I might not even go on PUP because that’s how good my rehab is going and I’m damn sure going to be ready for week 1. https://t.co/gH2TqCFLM4

So, we have an update from the man himself. Dobbins isn’t happy with these false reports coming out and asked Rapoport to go directly to him for the source.
Dobbins added another series of tweets right after.
Just know I been working… I been quiet for a reason. I thrive best when I face adversity….go check my resume.

Dobbins has been working hard to get back on the field for Week 1. And, according to Dobbins himself, he should be ready to roll.
The Ravens kick off the 2022 NFL season on September 11 against the New York Jets, so Dobbins has nearly two months to get ready to roll and return to his spot as the go-to running back.
The Ravens played hot potato last year at the running back position. Le’Veon Bell, Devonta Freeman, Latavius Murray, and Ty’Son Williams all saw action at the position after Dobbins and Gus Edwards went down. So, a healthy Dobbins is excellent news for Baltimore.
Then, while on The Pat McAfee Show, Rapoport discussed Dobbins’ response and continued to stick by his source,
When news develops while on live… we discuss. Watch the whole clip for my views on this situation. https://t.co/HYZgh4wYTk

Rapoport says Dobbins won’t be ready, but the Ravens starting RB says otherwise. Only time will tell, although it’s hard to argue with the source himself.
