Mark is a 33-year-old professional golfer whose currently ranked 176th in the Official World Golf Rankings. Hubbard has spent his 10-year career on and off the PGA Tour and boasts three career professional wins. None of those wins came on the PGA Tour.

Hubbard is having a solid year, with a 15th-place finish at the Honda Classic earlier this year and a back-to-back top-five finishes at the Barbasol and Barracuda Championships heading into this week’s Rocket Mortgage Classic.

But why are we talking about about a journeymen professional golfer who most readers have never heard of? Because on Thursday morning, Hubbard made one of the most improbable Holes-In-One that you will ever see.

Hubbard was playing the 11th hole at Detroit Golf Club, a 216-yard, Par 3. After hit his shot, he immediately dropped his club to the ground in disgust. To his surprise, however, the shot was good. Really, really good. The ball landed just short of the green and took one bounce before rolling about 20 feet directly into the hole for an improbable ace.,

Hubbard couldn’t believe what just happened, turning away and covering his face before sheepishly laughing.

The hole-in-one was part of what’s currently, at the time of writing, a 4-under round that has Hubbard in seventh place, just two shots back of leader Tony Finau.

Fans also loved the shot reaction turned memorable ace.

As it turns out, Hubbard is a pretty fun guy and should be a must-follow for golf fans on Twitter.

Something tells us a lot more fans are going to recognize the name Mark Hubbard the next time they see it.
